Zookeeper upgrade only and not Kafka, is that possible?

Hi,

My Kafka version is 2.3.0 (latest one is 2.8.0)

My Zookeeper version is 3.5.5-3 (latest is 3.7.0).

Is it possible to just upgrade zookeeper to the latest version and don't
upgrade/leave Kafka behind?

Is there documentation about that or links about properly upgrading
Zookeeper?
