Re: Community Over Code 2026, Glasgow

Thanks Sean, I really enjoyed this track last year. I've been thinking about the idea of "streaming AI" for a while now and have a "thought experiment" on using GenAI for Kafka content based delivery here: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/can-llms-work-streaming-data-paul-brebner-yiflc/

I've also wondered about using Kafka for the a2a protocol? Any thoughts from anyone else on potential use cases for Kafka + GenAI?

Regards, Paul

Hello,

The Call For Papers is now open for the Apache Software Foundation's Community Over Code conference this October in Glasgow.

There is a track on "AI Plumbing" at the conference that may be of interest to recipients of this email.

Though it doesn't need to be the plumbing focus, I think that a lot can be said about agentic AI. Agentic AI has gotten a lot of buzz in the AI world, and one of the most important things in making agents useful is throwing them together with some good plumbing, e.g. linear or graph-based workflows, orchestration tactics, -communication- protocols, memory, knowledge graphs, etc. There is a lot to talk about. This track might be a perfect place to present efforts in the area, display some work, and perhaps hold a general discussion on experience.

Again, Agentic AI is not the focus. Anything regarding putting together any type of AI workflows will be considered relevant.

Please forward this email to anybody you know that might be interested in the Community Over Code 2026 conference and may not have received this email.
